The singer, who is starring in his first lead role in "In The Mix," in which he plays a New York DJ who becomes involved with Emmanuelle Chriqui's character after he is hired to protect her, told Time that you've got to dote on a woman to reel her in, according to The Associated Press.

"Women love compliments," he told the magazine. "Buy her a drink. Talk to her about whatever it is that she wants to talk about. As long s you keep her laughing, you got it."

He also spoke about his assets versus those of 50 Cent, who also stars in his own film, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

"I'm a smaller guy," he said. "50's got the arms, I got the abs."
